LAS VEGAS: THIRD TIME'S (NOT) A CHARM
We tend to visit Las Vegas now every couple of years. It always sounds like a good idea: a quick weekend getaway to soak in the sun, relax by the pool, cut loose with some fancy cocktails, and be entertained by a live show. A birthday is usually the excuse we use to book the ticket.
This recent visit to Vegas was more of the same, except we were hit harder by the jet lag and were less impressed by the usual chaos. We will likely need to change up our routine the next time we visit to freshen up the experience.

Accommodation: The Mirage Hotel and Casino
Adventures: Secret Pizza, Champagne Brunch, The Mirage Pool, Opium, Yoga with the Dolphins, The Strip
Takeaways:
1) We shouldn't assume we'll always have the same great time repeating a particular outing.
2) Jet lag + unlimited champagne + seafood is not a good combination.
3) Plan the unlimited champagne brunch and the fancy dinner/evening show on separate days.
4) You don't always need to pay for the room upgrade to get a great view.
5) Maybe try a different hotel for your third visit.
Restaurant Picks:

Recommendations:
1) Try staying at different hotels if a repeat visitor.
2) Buy booze and snacks at Walgreens or CVS.
3) Tip your server at the buffet, especially when unlimited alcoholic beverages are involved.
